Robot installs batteries in space recently

while people on earth were celebrating new year a robot aboard the international space station got on with the job of upgrading stations solar power system. underground control , the canadian -built dextre special purpose dexterous manipulator robot moved on outside of orbiting space station, where it swapped out old batteries dating from  1998  with new lithium - ion versions without the aid of astronauts and looks like putting astronauts out of a job
