Space ship appollo-16 returned to the earth today.

Apollo-16 was the 10th human mission of Apollo space organization of the USA. That space ship returned back to the earth on 27th April 1972 after completing 11 days, 1 hour, 51 minutes into the space. Apollo-16 was the 5th successful attempt of the American mission moon. Which successfully returned to the earth after completing the targeted aims for it. The member of this journey and operator of this mission was john Yang, Charles duke and Kane Me-tingle. In which Yang and duke spent 20 hours on the surface of the moon. 

Wednesday

first satellite launched from Indian origin.

on April 19, 1975 India launched their first satellite and named by famous mathematician aryabhatt. with the help of USSR India shortlisted for few countries that have rocket launching experience. after that India sent more than 70 satellite and after successful journey of moon mission (chandrayaan) India is ready for the mission mars (mangalyaan).

Columbia, returned to earth today.

Space shuttle Columbia (orbiter vehicle designation: OV-102) was the first space-rated orbiter in NASA’s space shuttle fleet. Columbia spent 610 days in the orbiter processing facility (OPF). Another 35 days in the vehicle assembly building (VAB), and 105 days on pad 39A before finally lifting off. Columbia was successfully launched on April 12 1981, the 20th anniversary of the first human spaceflight and returned on April 14, 1981.

Wednesday

today in space history.

On April 12, 1961 is the day when somebody reached into the space and that person was non other than Yuri Gagarin on 27th march 1968 he passed away. Yuri was chosen out of the 20 pilots and gairman titov his backup pilot.


    Height matters.

     5 ft 6 inch height of this person into the consideration because of his tiny height he gets very                comfortable inside the vostok-1 passenger capsule.

    First Indian male-female.

     Male- on 3rd April 1984 Rakesh Sharma became the first person from the Indian origin that                           reached into the space.



     Female- on 19th November 1997 kalpana chawla became the first female from the Indian origin that                reached into the space.  



    40 country persons reached into the space till today.
